And Billie blows! (Twenty-second storm!)
This has been a very unpleasant day... So, I will not say that it looks ugly on this nice white page - It has been a very happy day except for the weather. Oh, that is better. The wind, as per routine, blew - but it carried a kind of raw, frosty, bitter touch that hurt although it was not angrily cold.
Jemima stuck to his bite with great courage and is again ready to fly a tandem. He was going to just turn up this afternoon but it seemed too threatening in the south and Jemima was already flying that we feared lest the wind might shift.
I mailed an assortment of coal bags, tools and pieces of tin to our ship now. Of course this adds greatly to the beauty game - Jemima! But at the same time I have great hopes that the collection may also add greatly to our comfort.
There is a narrow strip of ice between our island and the next - I believe that we might run it successfully and get into the home by following the ice along the islands until we struck should strike the main body of ice in by Hayes Point. But we do not want to get in. We are quite comfortable and want only more meat and coal.
We are praying for snow, Jemima may see us in better shape should a good drift from north.
