-- FOREVER. Wednesday October 7 -1914 spry tree it blows! [Left margin] Aetho is was my morning to get up and cook, Jerome traveled far to cold and had breakfast well started before I had returned to the fry heaven from a delicious afternoon in the green country -- for which are the dreams that live on fire in the cold. He climbed lightly out of my trunk with an atmosphere of energy; Jerome loaded filled the water tank and was making meal efforts to start the engine by the water page -- he failed x Result: much profanity and perspiration (as for routine) -- Since any small diversion inlets towards a preservation of mental equilibrium under these condi tions, I have taken to the delightful occupation of dictating my diary with such a free ion attitude as produces not more favor than froms, regardless as -- the position proved may prove -- After much work Jerome missed the water piking and I, meanwhile dicta, filled the tank. This evening we made bread, or rather we baked the bread I made three days ago. It was a grand failure but surely less tough than the ship's biscuit x I also baked four panfuls of biscuit x At dinner we ate the last speech of our canal meat whilst we have carefully boarded. But it is very occasionally a luxury x Indeed and it is a fitful luxury with its rank taste, Two pages in two days! And then some times when a page stuffs for a month -- but then I had lots to say.
