Saturday Aug. 15 - 1914 It has been sunny again and this afternoon it became decidedly colder with a change of wind to the north. I think good news, we can now hope for a clear harbor soon. I am working hard with the expectation of going to the island Monday. I washed clothes today and cleaned up my room until things are pretty straight. Tonight we enjoyed hearing Jack's new- divlin again. He and Daning went back in the hills and brought back several pictures; yes- Tuesday Ethel brought us six drubs. Sunday Aug 16 - 1914 I am 20 yrs old today. I opened several letters & read some old ones. I got the book fr our camp at the Island. Mom & a crowd went up after little autos, Jerome got some moving pictures of the whole thing. Monday Aug 17 - 1914 Mom, Eth, just & The new left in the motor boat for a walrus hunt at Cape Alexander. Jerome was sick so we did not go out to the island. I went back in the hills & got the cache I left in July...
