104 Polan Tuesday Apr 21 1914 We are turning out as 5:30 & starting at about 7:30. One evening morning the wind seems generally in a SW or W direction which is much easier on our fore. Wednesday Apr 22 1914 Going good and weather perfect. Dark. latitude right putting us in 81° 51.6' north lat. I am glad to know this is a long night the first open reading came just as in 107° west which is a little to the west part of our dark- screwing. Saw Cape Johnson that first thin. Am. open breeds raised up by mague & at least 71 miles away. In the am we also saw mague? th ice in th N & SW & W, which I was sure to be land but the Equino proved right, we found is only rocks.
