528 Barlina's baby if two weeks or so old was in her hood. The baby came at U- manacle about a week before Christmas; that is, not more than a week after Barlina went over the ice cap [illegible] from here to North Star Bay. Going some! + Called Ekblaw, Tanquary, Hunt and Allen into Capt. Pietsels's Office and read to them the "Note on Expedi- tion Affairs" on pp. 14 and 15 of my report to President Osborn, except the sentence beginning "When I saw Mr. Mac Millan &c" on p. 15. After read- ing it continuously I read it sen- tence by sentence, giving full op- portunity for discussion of each by all the men, and then I asked whether they would stand by the statements that I made - Ekblaw assented to the entire ac- curacy of everything contained in the paragraph as read and said
