Saw 2 crow blackbirds, Zonotrichia lutea. They appeared to be on pressing business, so did not stop to get acquainted. The tree sparrows I have been feeding have not shown up for 3 days, and perhaps have gone away. One or two juncos have been with them, and today they are hobnobbing with the song sparrows. They may be "snow birds" farther south, but I don't care hardly enough to scare over writer. They come in the later bird flights, in about 2 weeks. Mar 23. It is above; but the birds have come today. I bluebirds & sparrows are singing the latter in a little lone tone. I occasionally gets in almost his characteristic song, with rather strange "stee" The blackbirds are squeaking like a wheelbarrow on the snow.
