Apr. 8. It was very squally yesterday, but latter today the wind is N.E. & fresh. Coming from N. Pass Annieswells Saw a Jennie.
9. Fair & quiet in morning.
Swoare Sharp shunned a hurricane while north wind caught N.E.
The Jennie has arrived here, the bird concerts take on an even certain tone. The robin sings satisfactorily, I almost caught it nearly. I saw the first window lark today, tho' they have been on saltmarsh marshes a long time.
Peters tonight, but few uncertainties.
Apr. 10. Bird concerts in morning. Pewee & robins hold grand reception concert to rising sun 'Rye bird' came today.
Saw Melicace Marsh, and yesterday saw what will have to pass for it, as it looked more like a skipper, did not get good view.
