EB-47 Parked car because getting soft. H2O ca 6" below surface, dug -> hole, walked out towards mirage water over 1.5 mi - went from sand to tan mat then thin to thicker blistery-subbery mat, dark colored down for distance. No closer to water. Returned to car. Drove back to where tracks entered flat & proceeded along sand, slight rise with bushes. Nearby horseshoe shaped stromatolites forming hard. No sign of algae. EB says dead + pops erratically. Open end of horseshoe to beach, bogged. Got out + returned to tracks. 12/27 Collected living blister mat. Took pictures w/ pick & 10.58B+ land rover + dogs in bkgnd, 12/28 Tracks to Hutchinson Embayment Start at phone poles in Cable Beach Rd to 1st dev of m - 4.9 mi, from there to flats (end of fence w flats) = 2.5 miles. EB-48 Collected in middle of Hutchinson embayment flats. Thin mat 1-2 mm cohesive blistery surf. Patches of salt. EB-49 - flats with little mire, masses 2-3" darker greyish grn. above rest of mat, same area closer to shore, 12/29 11:31 AM left Cable to walk to caravan.
