MONDAY • DECEMBER 20 King Edward Hotel TUESDAY • DECEMBER 21 Highway Motel - Carnarvon 6¢ 12 WEDNESDAY • DECEMBER 22 On Beach at Carbla Point. Weather clearing, but pfly cldy. Warm Nw wind. Water level on beach very high. Bought supplies today – all credit. Westfords store $475=. THURSDAY • DECEMBER 23 - On Beach at Carbla Point. Explored shore north of Carble Pt. “Gross” shack area. Discovered sea snakes. Collected algae diatom mats. Water level going down. Much cooler. Moved under the trees. Collecting for “mattress.” FRIDAY • DECEMBER 24 (Pa school teachers left) Beach, Carble Point. Mrs Kopke came down this morning. Invited us to Christmas dinner tomorrow. Collected south of the point along to “carlflower” heads. Cold frought – upper 50’s. Under trees again – used more leaves for “mattress.” SATURDAY • DECEMBER 25 Carbla Beach mat wrapped. Collected south of the point and again up to “shack”. Dinner at the Carbla Homestead – left at 12:30 o’clock. Mattresses! And a fine meal. Up late – about 8 A.M! – day after Notes that is on Dec 26
