10728-18 July, 1969 About quartzite rock outcrops along the crest of a small ridge about midway on the map between Shazvin and Saveh, to the west of Tehran. Elevation about 1700 m. Plants several-stemmed from a perennial taproot and branched caudex. Flowers lavender- purple, heads with 6-9 fertile disk flowers and about 5 marginal neutral flowers. Centauraea squarrosa Willd.
