Pistillate flowers in several series, with a ligule 1.5-2.5 mm long, slightly larger to slightly shorter than the pappus. All but the innermost pistillate flowers fertile, with flattened, 2-nerved achene. Disc flowers relatively few, with 4-toothed corolla and elongate, empty achene..
