July 28 (Sunday). Slept in- and then dark morning, so we combined lunch & breakfast about 11:30. Bob (Mumphrey) up at noon & decided to go to Barrow, weather or no. So he left about 2:00, with our crepstones to leave in our truck, as well as the stuff for Solimane. Dorothy and I just walked down to the water front, then south of town on the airport road & I did some collecting in a rather dull spruce forest. Then back through town & out a bit on a road going north. Then home to the hotel, took baths & relaxed - not a very productive day.
