Out to the air post finally about 10:00, but in a very heavy rain. We waited until the squall passed, then Bob gassed up > we were off at about 11:00 > arrived at Aklevik at 11:30. Met by friendly young village manager who gave Dondley & Bob much information about Aklevik & the transfer of many government activities to the new town of Inuvik. I promised to be back at plane in 2 hours and headed for the nearest spruce forest, down the river. Not a terribly rich flora, but something of interest, especially Buxus thunbergii & several Potentilla & many Bergenia. On the way back
