July 24. Rained hard in night, so ups & out early. Had To get breakfast for us, as whole camp was sleeping after strenuous 2 days of getting ready for loading the barge. Found Herberta, Aloina & several other things not yet collected - but no Ascidia, which turned up last time. Worked carefully in shale & silt frost hills seaward from NW end of runway, behind Camp, through lunch hour. Fog night on ground much of time & so none of us expected a plane Today, after all.
