July 20. Last dozen sheets of specimens finally dry. Wrapped all dry material from Meade River & Nolack Lake in 4 big bundles - all set to pack and ship when the time comes. Letters to Schuster & Tilley concerning public. Very heavy fog, night on ground, so thick that eclipse of sun would not be seen most of time, and when it did appear, no filter was needed. Saw Max Brewer about today's flight, if any - he predicted about 3:00, so home to finish catering & for lunch. After lunch had long conference with Brewer & Schindler - ARL has possibility of gettin'
