July 15. Got up about 3:00 am. to shut off stove - wind had died down & wagon much too warm - looked out there was large wolf mummaging around among drums, etc. Called Dorothy & she saw it, too... it seemed quite unperturbed by us. Although cairn was still very low, we could see sun right in north between two mountains north of lake, between which the outlet of Nolack lake runs. Brought in fresh meat that we had put under house ! Bob Murphy piles of last night's plane Told me that Banal / coastal plain had been having good weather during our stormy spell.
