July 2. Up early + ytl breakfast went north through tundra to next great sweep, I made five to south, well marked by snowbanks when one reached a certain altitude. Tundra. Low- center polygons near village of fen-type, of relatively high pH-, with Cinclidium, Scorpidium, Meesia spp. etc., but progressively more acid downward, but with lots of Lepicolea (or whatever Schuster calls it today). Birds all from yjial - in middle of nesting season - r. finished 3 ptarmigan
