Farlow Herbarium EDWIN BUNTING BARTRAM, Honorary Curator of Mosses in the Farlow Herbarium, died December 2, 1964, in his eighty-seventh year. After a career in business, Mr. Bartram retired at the age of 39 to devote himself to botanical activities. He was the author of 131 publications, including several books on bryology and six papers on flowering plants. An active collector in the field and Honorary Curator of Mosses since 1937, he was a former President of the American Bryological Society and for many years Associate Editor of the Society's journal. He gave the Herbarium shortly before his death his entire collection of 75,000 specimens of mosses.
