8143-April 23, 1959 Barren rocky (rhyolitic) Spots in sagebrush country overlooking the South Fork of the Malheur River, 30 miles south of Juntura, Harney Co., Oregon. T up 25 S, R 36 E, S 15. Elev. about 3500-4000 feet. Leaves convex on one side, flat or slightly channeled at the other. Flowers white, the small dark anthers hardly reaching the broad blunt tips of the tepals.
