Barren rocky (rhyolitic)
Spots in sagebrush country overlooking the South Fork of the Malheur River, 30 miles south of Juntura, Harney Co., Oregon. T up 25 S, R 36 E, S 15. Elev. about 3500-4000 feet. Leaves convex on one side, flat or slightly channeled at the other. Flowers white, the small dark anthers hardly reaching the broad blunt tips of the tepals. Plants just beginning to bloom,
