miles southeast of Burns,
Harney Co., Oregon.

Elev. about 4500-5000;
Talus plant forming mats up
to 5 dm. wide, with creeping
stems and roots, the smaller
plants with a definite
taproot. Flowers white.
Arenaria nuttallii Pax, passing
to var. fragilis (Maguire + Holmgren)
C. L. Witche, some plants with
longer, sharper, more veiny sepals
than others
