8126- April 20, 1959 Rocky areas in sage- brush plains south of the Doughee River, 13 miles southeast of Rome, Typ. 325. Malheur Co., Oregon, R. 420 or 43 E. Elev. about 4000'. Upper petals dark purple; lower petals paler (sometimes even white) with yellow base and usually with some darker purple lines. Details of color and pattern vary from plant to plant.
