Fozzy as hell! I had first choice and went to #4 but
didn't do much fowsewing (one wigeon!) After lunch we had
a good pheasant hunt and I got two cock birds. Have early
to go to New Haven on the night airplane.

Had rain yesterday, terminating about sundown. There had
been a lot of ducks on the property according to Jed, but by
daylight they were all long gone. I had a couple of shots and
got one fat hen sprig. Later we went snipe hunting as for
the first time this year found a good number of birds on
the south end of our pond. I bagged six.
Our ladies arrived in late afternoon for a festive
holiday banquet. I cooked the turkey.

Betty came with me to #5 blind where we sat
all morning watching the shorebirds and enjoying the
delicious sunshine. But no ducks. About 8:30 the
SW breeze died out and a brisk N breeze began, which brought
on a high overhead flights north bound. A few pairs
and small flocks came in and Jed got three sprigs in #6.
He had no shooting in #5.
Lay the blind about 10 AM as I went for snipes.
Got seven more, to give a week end bag of 13.
