Huber L0 1964 Journal Oct 14 Bikar Atoll Saw a group of frigates after a male frigate today they best on diving at him one at a time and he would do a sharp term and meet his pursuer belly first. This kept up for almost 15 min. Also saw several Hawaiian noddies settling on the water in the lagoon. A feeding flock of about 30 ± 5 Hawaiian noddies feeding in the lagoon. Oct. 15, 1964 Bikar I was watching a flock of BT.C this morning. It was raining and I was sitting in a bush. The Curlews were on the beach about 50' from me. They were just standing and walking slowly going in no special direction but still staying together. Along the shoreline about 400' away a golden plover came trotting along leading in the Curlews and I direction. When about 80' ft from the curlews the curlews started moving away from the plover and the more the plover came closer the more the curlews ran from it. (???? what kind of behavior is this?)
