The valley subdivides into two smaller valleys near the back. The right valley is the one to take. Go to the end of the road and there is a watershed area that greets you with a big sign that say many things, a couple of which are "KAPW" and "not to exceed 500.00" fine for entering. go past all these signs (on foot) good trail) and Kap following the trail to the first water fall (go up left side) and keep going till the second water fall (go up right side). From there on you are on your own to get to the Crater. Bush warblers in crater. Found a anabiki nest. (fresh green grass on in side) also saw 2 adults (imm anabiki), one partial adult Elepaio and immatures. found leiowhip and white eye nests (empty).
