Maka 1968 Journal the large alluvial fan was the qub greatest I have seen. Several springs appeared on the skirts of the fan & the Spa war more afterwards then before. While I watched water partly surrounded the mound I watched on. A high 4-5000 feet ceiling came in in late evening. Dec 10 Cape Hallett, Antarctica. Saturday. Spent afternoon in scenery watching from 1:30 to 5:45 PM. Morning spent reading Timberger's paper. Read in evening and attended one of the three movies shown; "Prum Beat"? something. Another clear sunny warm day. Dec 11 Cape Hallett, Antarctica. Sunday. The day was overcastor and a little breezy. It looked for a while as if we were in for a storm, but as the day wore on & the breeze neither increased nor shifted direction it became apparent that we weren't towards late evening the clouds began to lift & shifts of sunlight played on the mountains across the bay. I stayed in all day. In morning I read & slept, & after lunch I developed 2 rolls of black & white film. In evening read some & recorded Gethron's third
