Makers 1960 Journal Nov.12 when I have been watching. However, I found confusion still when only one pr member was marked. Decided to go over this tomorrow by hand a few. adgacent pairs. Put up 3 Snow petrel skins in evening. They are horribly fat. Nov.13 Hallett Station, Cape Hallett, Antarctica. Collin Bailey and I spent the morning at the sluey mousing + marking lenses. Unfortunately the attempt to catch specific individual birds was compli- cated by the fact that a cloud (1-2 dozen at time) of skuas converged on the bait so many that territorial bird usually could not keep them away. Never we trapped several bird that were not of the pairs I have been watching. I returned there after noon + watched. It turned out that we had both members from pair marked + one member of several others. After supper Keith Wise, Don Dangle+ myself returned + tried to catch some of these unmarked birds. We spent an hour or so + did mark at least one we wanted but again this was complicated by outsiders coming in to feed. Put up 3 snow petrel
