Walked to the comm. shack + found out that Kennedy had indeed finally won. Altogether the day was barren of accomplishment. Before lunch I walked to the cape about a mile from the base. Keith Wise accompanied me. We visited one large sea cave some 30 feet high, 80 wide, and 50-60 feet in b the rear. This was located on the far (N.) side of the first promontory. We walked on to the second one where the cliffs make an almost 90° turn & descend into the falling snow. This section of the cliff produces a beautiful echo + we amused ourselves like idiots shouting at it. Returned to the base at 1 P.M. The rest of the day my accomplishments were - scraping & salting 2 penguin
