Papodroma mura checks & 1 dead one. Five of the former were collected (actually thought I had 6 but only 5 when I got back). All were on verge of flying most with some down still attached. None made any attempt to fly when disturbed. 3) Most at least majority of chicks still have fledged. 4) Chicks defecate out entrance of nest. Must move 2 feet or more from position in which they usually sit. 5) Chicks exercise before flying. Brown saw one flapping wings on ledge. Caught it & found it had moved a couple of feet from its nest. All chick 6) Still being fed by adults. One chick regurgitated bit of fish flesh & a length of vertebrol column (saved.) Others produced large quantities of orange oil. Former were definitely being fed & others I presume being fed on krill. Can't see how they would produce orange oil if just living on their reserves. 7) Adults & chicks can walk. Saw chicks bird landed on feet & taraw then walked 16 steps on foot only across snow & scrambled up on rock. Very clearly shown. 8) When one bird seen approaching a slime flow near to mate but kept on after looking the place over. Seems to prey on
