Catharsis maccormick: Journal 114 Male 1961 Day 13 though many are seen flying back & forth over it. The area between the colomna is so reduced that more hunters must congregate at the edges to a greater degree than they do at Hallett. Another impression I had was that there were far fewer remains of eaten penguin chicks encountered as one walked about; in fact almost none were seen. I make no count as I had nothing to compare with at Hallett least 1/5-4/10 as many per unit and seems appropriate Shua nests were finally found on the slopes above the penguinery. this is list of what we found: 2 egg shells 1 shell, 1 cold egg 1 nest in one egg ad.Druabity 1 nest, 1 egg 3 shuar seen sitting in nests at distance. DSD noted one + found it empty. 1 Ad. on nest, one died 2-4 days old. 1 Nest in a pain puncent, not visited. 1 Pr together one sitting on on nest. Not visited Map. possible 8 nests or pain about 4 nest.
