Males 1968 Journal Oct 31 (out.) no pictures. 16 others were standing in a group 14 mile away. Went to bed at 10:30 P.M. that evening. Spend the morning writing up the above field notes. After lunch walked out to the s[illegible] + spent about 3 hours pottering + observing + wandering about. Picked up 2 dead penguin chicks on the way in which seem like they would be good specimens. Nov. 1. Hallett Station. Found that the bio-lab was out of bounds all morning because of some tents being conducted there + walked over to the S[illegible]. Spent one hour watching them + then finding I was quite cold I walked over into the penguin colony + joined Mr. Faller + Collin Bailey who were checking for penguin egg. Returned to base with a penguin + a penguin skin I found + then returned to s[illegible] for a second hour before lunch. After lunch skinned a young adelic penguin I had found the yestertoday: Male
