Catharsa macroura: announced to passing shrew. Ended one 16 mm roll w/ few feet of shrew in aggressive upright near spa. Curious about 362. There were 2 birds there earlier, one walked off in aggressive upright chased a few birds off, then while I was writing he appeared to try to cop with another bird. Mystery is solved. This was its mate. They then stood 20 ft of old site which was occupied by 2 birds, one of which was not banded like one of "L." as I wrote above. 362 walked back to their original spot, "dashed" briefly + sat. (monica) 2:27 bird came out of Spa landed on edge. 3 other shrews near. Our birds got themselves mts. Upright, aggressive walked slowly to one which flew, then turned walked slowly at 2 others which flew. We then sat. None of bill jabbing seen yesterday. 2:37 RTH 230 flies & lands 3 feet from nest. gives m m call 2:50 31 lands near me on Territory stand. Unmarked 206 (♀) begins walking slowly toward him. He with neck + head sleeked down. She in normal appearance. At this start forward beg. As she gets to him she seems to puff neck head feathers point head down a little + turn head away so as to keep left of people vs him
