11:55 A strange shrew lands 25' from nest
206 - R-y flies over at once, grabs stranger
who at once flies off.
11:57 RTH, 230 flies to fight 100 gbs west
on cover.
12:06 p. 362 begins food begging. I interrupt
by whistling so I can get my camera ready.
Also interrupted by other shrew + announce. They
don't resume. One goes 6 feet S + starts
choking. Another bird with a TH band sitting
few feet S of these flies at once + closest
bird. TH then sits.
12:07 Plot thickens. Seems to be a pr located
at 362 + the single male content banded
above (31??) The choking bird above
etc. One of another pair walks over, sitting
bird in bill down display - test elevated.
Bill is way down + neck brought
forward & like so. Pretense!! Bird
stands still in the pose starts announcement
singing. Head puts full announcement on.
A complicated exchange flowed. One pair fought,
One bird driven aside other 3 in triangle
announcing. One pecked at head of 3rd. Separated
with 2 pr sitting 3 feet apart.
12:15. One P above pr in 362 I believe they
seem to prefer one particular rock pile to sit near.
