Catharacta maccormicki 42 Mauy 1960 Nov.24 found to have 2 egg I notat a large number of birds, 50 or more, about one melt pool near first glacier, S. of Bonnie Ice Fall. Nov.26 Nest 74 Noted down + contour feathers, about the nest Nest 36 Noted also contour feathers about this site also Nest 5-2 also had down + contour feathers in bowl + about it. This nest also had a more elaborate lining of penguin feather, some contour + tert feathers, than I have noticed before. Observed an interesting bird yesterday while skimming the seals. Plumage- wise it was fully adult though it did seem a little slight in build in comparison with some others. At any rate I just noticed it because it was giving the chick begging call & was observed in the typical chick hunched posture. It was standing by another, adult + both were near a piece of shubber. The adult B* announced & responded to the beg call, did the turns & the adult finally drone it off. The same bird was observed again several times in similar situations-
