Makey 1960 Catharacta macrorhyncha making last round. Bird was noticed standing hunched in nest bowl. I thought it sick as it seemed inflated in feathers ruffled up. As I watched I saw something drop from it Cloaca, I stepped nearer + it flew, when we spied the egg covered w/ copious mucous. This was pr 25 + the bird which laid egg had red band on left leg (thermoplate) + no aluminum band 10 birds at bathing place on ocean Nov. 21 At Precipice this day. There is a small moraine on the S. side of the glacier, a small area of rocks & rubble in piles & ridges which remind one of mine tailings or areas in the strip mine country of Illinois. The moraine measures about 100 yd across & perhaps 300 yds long at its shaped and might be 7-8 acres in area. Don Douglas counted 12 nest sites + territorial pairs in his wandering one. It trying to scare birds to my noose. He did not cover the moraine top of the area so the total population might have
