Muffled call in descending pitch
m'm m'm m'm, accent on first like saying
m but keepint mouth closed. Then
food begging call. (Note: we now.) Saw
this pair copulated & kept uttering a
similar sounding copulation call. He might
have made that done while female was laying.
Be gave "churn" or "chortle" if you will of
satisfaction each time he made contact.

Ten sleeve at a small melt pool on
sea ice S. of shuang. The birds were
bathing, preening and resting.
After lunch threw a snow petrel
carcass out the door, in 10 seconds
a bird landed & began eating. He was
then chased off by a second who supplanted
him. The first bird then circled about +
flown at the second bird striking it so
It came over the repeated 5026 times
