Malay 1960 Catharacta maccormicki Nov.7 stood but did nothing. Both then sat. Noted a third bird - member of pair rest home on core side (lr r) land on the pro territory was challenged + responded and but with head deftly definitely held so that bill was almost in neck folds like so [illegible] etc. Two birds, possibly pr1, possibly 1 each of pr 1+3 (N. of me) back 15 feet apart making incipient chalcing movement - noise suddenly flew up + towards each other, all bird full breast on + came down challenged + separated apart. I moved parents #1 territory so I believe latter assumption correct. A pair divided together one slowly came down + circled, low, one landed, the other kept flying in 20yd circle at 6-8 feet height passing over it. This bird made no response but stood with neck up - head on chin. A third bird landed, was challenged once both stood. As flying bird came over again the third one challenged at the second stood. Flying bird then flew low over the entire territory was challenged ad nauseum eventually flew out towards penguinery. Choke her 2 neighbours Sight Chase (done) territory defense this a good illustration I hope
