At the same time one lands next in another above me. bird on ground announces as it lands then stops. another bird then announces. 3:20 P.M. 3:15 record. # which had been present all along seen sitting as if incubating uttering a very nasal i i i call intermittently pointing bill down ? as it did so. Old bird preens. 3:35. C. which strutted before. Umbarked bird walked toward rite. assumed strut posture tail up wing pointed down part tail Q etc. other streets & give challenge move off. Both quiet a moment then umbarked repeat get into strut then still holding tail up lowers head & begins right in front of old bird which turns to avoid her. Continues for a minute or so. Male bird (banded) begun uttering a different cry e i e slowly & intermittently at first. Then rapidly repeated. Then mounts female. F remains standing firmly squats. Male remains on flapping wings calling stops repeats who boggins wagging tail from side to side but everything stops right there. Set off
