Male, 1861 Journal The day was sunny with a 154 20 knot wind blowing. I made a quick round of the shua nests on this side & walked over To the Shruery, primarily to get photos of some of the chicks in B&G. In late evening walked along N. shore checking for Chinstrap penguins &/o Leopard Seals. Saw one Weddell Seal swimming along the shore. The wind was still blowing about 20 mph. Feb 5 Cape Hallett, Antarctica Sunday. I haven't made an entry in several days I see. No matter nothing much has been happened. I have shinned out, scraped & salted the batch of adult penguins killed. Made one round of Shruery weighing penned chicks, picked up another 50 lbs of poy stern remain which await processing. Yesterday afternoon which was still & sunny I took movies of penguins swimming. The first good day in some time. Also Brian & Colin arrived back from Adare about 6 A.M on the 4. Most of the camp stayed up until the ship came many because they were going out to visit the dentist. I retired at 8:30 a 7:00 AM
