down pool the price of 18 dollars. I had
packed up in early afternoon & they made
a visit to the sawery to weigh the 4
penned chekka over there. In morning
I had visited the penned chekka on this
cide. I was sent to the ship on the
first helicopter along w George Allen &
Pat Be. All 3 of us needed x-rays for
some reason. Dr. Kelley came aboard
late, & pronounced the hand unbroken &
uninfected. Cecil Bailey & Douglas
came aboard later & all my gear
was brought. The ship finished unloading
at Hallett & we were underway by
midnight. At 5:30 or 6 AM the ship
was near Adare. The captain meanwhile
had induced me to shorten my proposed
visit to 12 hours from the original
24. Accordingly Don Douglas & I were
flown in on the first helicopter. On
the way in we flew over the rookery
at 1800 feet & I obtained a series of
black & white shots, vertical, from
which I hope to make a movie map.
We landed at 7:30 AM
Ridley heads is large, 4 times larger I
would say than Hallett heads. The objective
