Make 1960 Journal Dec29 Cape Hallett, Antarctica. Cannot remember the day in detail though I am writing this on the 31. Several hours were spent heating the hand both morning + evening. I did not make a round of the sherry though Brien Yash notes on the hell- side book when he was over there. In afternoon, picnic it was a warm still sunny day I went & took 2 rolls of picture, 35mm; one color & one black + white. Dec30 Cape Hallett, Antarctica. Made a complete round today during the afternoon. Morning largely spent soaking hand + writing notes. The hand was soaked again in the evening, the last time, thank-goodness, for several days at least. The day was still overcast. Snow began falling afternoon & fell until late evening large puffy flakes. There was no wind. Dec31 Cape Hallett, Antarctica. New years eve.
