Journal the results were fabulous. Posh created a "Christmas tree," a cone of yellow & green wax layers which will have wool sticks [illegible]; & Don a volcano - a broad cone of many colored layers cleft in a large funnel. My major activity during this was to individually wrap the skins & snow petal specimens. After supper, before the party I made some (poor) eggnog & finally put on a pair of trousers & a tie for the occasion. The interest in the party was heightened by several events which took place earlier in the day. The Dr. decided, after we announced our party, to have a tree decorating party of his own on this afternoon at one P.M. This lead to an unfortunate outbreak. During the party the Lieutenant had to issue an order, regarding the use of the radio set & several men who have resented his tendency to turn them closely exploded; one threatened to hit him & a couple of others said some interrupting things.
