Maker 1960 Journals. Dec. 15 The day has been spent anchoring my 6 cage. I obtained some 5 gallon tins & other containers from the dump. Three of the enclosures were then held by anchored by wiring them to 3 each of these containers filled with rock & sand. It seems that I hope that this should be sufficient to anchor them against any fale were likely to get. The other 3 were anchored by large rocks spaced about their periphery. In the evening was "masterman of Lake Abalone" centrally the worst picture ever made. Dec 16 Cape Hallett, Antarctica: (Friday) Round of shnecy in A.M from 10-12 A.M To be more precise. After lunch & writing up the notes I went out for a couple of hours of penguin movie photography. Spent several hours in the evening working on my steel cage. For this I am converting a large crate, 10 x 4 x 5 feet which I pulled up from the shore by means first thing in the morning. The movie "Top of the World" was a real bomb, the worst ever, that since had been in Alaska when it was being filmed I was glad to see it.
