Collected near Santa Cruz and seen at
the last place also their last May.
6496 Cirsium, Lompoos Red Mtz 5-6 feet h. much branched a bunches terminated
by small heads, as the old remaining stalks showed clear. The young ones were not so perfectly advanced. But I found it on the coast in similar stations near Fort Bragg but there it was not so tomentose woolly as on the Mtz (yet apparently the same)
