Boyd is a capital fellow & he took us round the hospital, which is one of the old baracks at Fatima. Everything appears to be in excellent order, and Dr. Boyd was told is an excellent surgeon. The house is specially built for him. Mrs. very friendly and Mr. D. are most pleasant. At 1 I sat down in the gallery and had chat and smoke, and later on Orpin came in. After a time we all went round the general hospital and the poor hospital. The general hospital is large one and in capital order. Dr. Boyd was especially kind in his manner to the patients, and they all seemed to be very fond of him. He has a nice manner with the poor people. The poor hospital is between the general hospital and the sea. In fact it is only a little boat away from the sea shore, and the patients are thus enabled to get good sea bathing. There were about 25 patients, mostly children. and all doing well except one chronic relapsing case, an aged white woman. Dr. Orpin & Boyd often get even pleasure.
