We passed through the village of Berracalie and through the estates of Petros Slope, Mount Wynne, and Bulland Vale and then rode up the Layton Valley to see the celebrated Cant Sacreficial Stone there. This stone is by the river close under the south bank, about 2 miles from the sea. It is somewhat difficult to get at as it is practically in the sea and one has to get on to some stones in the stream to see the figures properly. The principal ones being cut on the face of the rock looking towards the stream. The stone is about 20 feet high and about 12 feet broad.
