Who travels for a good time.
While in Arizona at one of the
[illegible] plantations he told me
of a tame black gibbon,
his pet. This animal was of
large size but very affectionate & tame & may always be
found to roam over the whole estate.
But it never wandered away into the forest except
for a frolic or for an search
of food. It [illegible] occasionally
stole the moon at mess time
but never bit or threatened any members of the family.
Sometimes it gave its weird
call note.
