Thur. Tibetan rugs at 15 Rupees per Ounce blue and then red & third olive in color. The fur shops are well stocked here with skins of Leon leopards, tigers, Red foxes leopards, Persian rugs & cashmere rugs & many other other camels & skins. On the street we met a wedding procession, a Nepalese bridegroom [illegible] carried in a dandy & proceeded by clowns & Chinese type malinghiders appeals? [illegible] The bride was not present, she coming tomorrow with another procession. 13 This morning we beheld the object of our pilgrimage, Kinchinjunga & the snowy range of the Himalayas. Daylight broke misty but at 6.30 the snowy peaks began to show their rifts in the clouds
