Pale colored like Kentucky tobacco.
It is very mild, as some
snooked had scarcely any
tobacco taste or odor at all
but the tongue like most
mild tobacco. They make
it in a brass pipe a pinch at
a time good for 3 puffs
6 Last night the Main Caine
in violent wind squalls,
one of which at midnight blew
my tent down. During
the morning I hunted in
a grove of large green trees from
which I noted the killer fly
with its network of strangled
branches & trunk continued
about several trees. Another
tree had a giant erect
trunk to spreading crown.
A common tree here is a
large tree with an immense
spreading crown & a short
buttressed trunk often of
great diameter (15-18 feet).
Of five olive squirrels seven seen
in the trees 2 of the squirrels
were bagged. At noon M.
