The Burmese however raised it & restored it to Rangoon. Several of the officers killed at the Pagoda which is surrounded by a fortified wall are buried are at the Pagoda where they fell. Zoological garden. The Zoo's near the Pagoda in ascensions park with trees & lakes. The cages are large, airy & contain local animals & a few foreign ones. I saw a Panda for the first time & the keeper of Bengal tiger said that one had lived there scarcely but another died not long soon after arrival from Tibetan.
