In several places prominence red figs were seen hanging in the road. They were 3 to 4 inches in diameter, the size of apple buttons. No commercial value. The tree which produces them has irregular elliptical leaves of ordinary texture & color. Several other fruits were seen in the road. Yellow plum shaped ones, & green olive like fruits or nuts. How flowers are to be seen, a coral like plant bearing white blossom. The hone ysuckle type is the most conspicuous. A red flower in particles is also common. The stage was a short one & I reached the brigadon a Kalongber at 11:45 AM. The driver was a Kachin evidently & could talk no English. He wore a one or rather two hairless down in a big hat on his crown.
